Update. . .

August 27, 2007

Well, I made it the entire 102 mile ride.  It took me 8 hrs 9 min.  A little slower than I hoped, but still acceptable.

I’d like to thank all my fans and supporters at the finish line (thanks mom!).  I’d also like to thank the hilbillies that run that Free Beer and Brats stop 3 miles from the finish.

Oh, and Jesus.  Gotta thank Jesus. . . and Jeebus

So, tomorrow’s the big day. It’s time for The Hotter ‘N Hell 100 in Wichita Falls, TX. This is a pretty huge goal that I’ve had ever since I started riding a few years ago. It’ll be the longest one-day ride I’ve ever completed. That is, if I finish. I really haven’t had a whole lot of time to train for this one, so who knows how I’ll do. According to, tomorrow’s forcast is as follows:

Partly cloudy. High 98F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

Great, not only is it going to be a scorcher, but there’s a nice headwind for the last quarter of the ride. Wonderful.

Yet again I’m flying solo on this one. Mainly because all my cycling friends are huge vaginas. Even though there are 10,000 people riding with you, it’s still a lot harder if you don’t have anyone riding with you.

Wish me luck.  I’ll need every bit of it.

I’m like Lance Armstrong, only fatter, and have both my testicles

So, I finally road my bike to work today.  I seem to do this every year (for the last 1 years) when it gets nice enough to ride in the morning.  I’ll say I’m gonna do this like 3 times a week at least!  But, inevitably, I end up doing it like 3 times the whole spring/summer.  Oh well, maybe this year will be different.

Yes, it’s that time of year again already. The time where I try to guilt you all in to donating some money to Multiple Sclerosis research so that I can go on a 150 mile bike ride.

I’ll make a similar deal as last year. If I raise over $800, I’ll shave my body from the neck down. If you guys donate a total of $1500 or more, I’ll throw in the head, including eyebrows, just to weird out the squares.

Here’s the pertinent donation link:

And he did it with both balls!

July 24, 2006

So, in case you weren’t watching this weekend, the 2006 Tour de France was won by none other than American Lance Armstrong Floyd Landis of team Phonak. He overcame an 8 minute deficite to beat out Oscar Pereiro in an exiting finish to this years race. Congrats to Floyd and Team Phonak! Vive le Tour!

Do something good! (for once)

So, me and the mrs. are gonna do the MS150 this year. We’re gonna be training hard all spring, but we need YOUR help! See, there’s this disease, Multiple Sclerosis, which sucks balls. This is where you come in. By donating in my name, you’re helping fund the fight against this ball-sucking disease. Easy enough!
